A cloudy view of the underwater landscape and its inhabitants can occur from time to time. If the aquarium glass is covered with algae or a biofilm, this is usually not a problem for the animals, but of course it is unattractive for the viewer. Spotted algae can often only be removed with a lot of pressure.
Water spots and light limescale deposits are also an annoying problem, especially in open aquariums.
The Sponge Hard is designed precisely for this type of pollution. The top is made of fine, woven steel wool and cleans the panes without scratching the glass. With a little pressure, the aquarium can be cleaned quickly and easily right into the corners.

The Sponge Soft is designed precisely for this type of soiling. The sponge is covered with a lurex surface and cleans the panes without scratching them. The aquarium can be cleaned quickly and easily, right into the corners, with little pressure. The arrangement of the lurex fibres is based on a natural model: the radula (also called “rasping tongue”), which most molluscs have. This serves as a tooth replacement for rasping and chewing food. Snails use this mouth tool to graze the algae growth on discs and furniture.
