After the mechanical start of the water with Eheim Mech, the water is filtered over one or more layers of Eheim Substrat.
Eheim Substrat is a high-quality porous quartz filter medium.
The surface structure is ideal for the adhesion of cleaning bacteria.
The bonding surface is 450 m2 per liter.
Eheim Substrat is washable and can be used multiple times.
