Bacopa Madagascariensis
Bacopa Madagascariensis - Out of range
The origin of the Bacopa Madagascariensis lies in Madagascar. The plant can be found there both above and below water. The plant is therefore also suitable for a paludarium. When it grows above water, the plant can flower.
Prune the Bacopa Madagascariensis to keep it a bit lower and more compact. Some find that this plant grows best when it stays around 15 to 20 cm, because longer stems often get a bare bottom. You can replant cut tops in the (nutrient) soil.
This plant has a high light requirement, otherwise it is not demanding. However, adding plant food to your aquarium will promote growth and development.
