Bacopa Australis
Bacopa Australis
The Bacopa Australis is a fairly easy marsh plant, originating from Brazil. The plant grows both under and above water and is therefore also suitable for paludariums. When the Bacopa Australis grows above water, small pink to white flowers can bloom.
This plant is not demanding, but it will develop better in terms of colour and compactness if you provide plant nutrition/CO2 and provide sufficient light.
You can simply prune the Bacopa Australis, cut off tops can be placed back into the (nutrient) soil, to form a carpet.
When planting/pruning this plant, be careful not to damage it, as the Bacopa Australis has fragile leaves.
The Bacopa Australis is seen by some in the aquarium hobby as an easy alternative to the demanding Micranthemum Umbrosum.
