The plant needs at least 12 hours of light and good ventilation above the water surface.
The Trapa Natans can also produce fruits on the stem after flowering.
In the pond these fall off, sink to the bottom and a new Trapa Natans plant can grow.
Trapa Natans grows best in slightly softer water.
