Plenty of light and plant food is recommended to allow the plant to thrive. CO2 is not a requirement, but can promote the health and color intensity of the plant.
This is because CO2 stimulates the production of red pigments, among other things.

Prune the plant after about 3 weeks to encourage more compact growth.
The cut tops can be replanted if necessary, remove the lower leaves to prevent rot.

Also avoid completely removing this plant from the soil, as the roots and leaves are very sensitive.
